Primary training aircraft from the Yakovlev Experimental Design Bureau, part of the Irkut Corporation. The prototype first flew on 29 September 2016. Flight tests in progress.
Otto Aviation Celera 500L
Super-economical experimental aircraft of the American company Otto Aviation, equipped with RED A03 engine with a pusher tail propeller. It has an unusual appearance: the fuselage in the form of an elongated ellipsoid and thin tail boom with a minimum of protruding elements. Such airplane contours provide a laminar flow. Business class passenger cabin includes six seats. Flight tests are underway.
HAV Airlander
A hybrid airship designed and built by British manufacturer Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV). Equipped with auxiliary wings and tail unit. Flies using both aerostatic and aerodynamic lift. Airlander’s four engines are RED A03 combustion engines created from a clean sheet design with ultra-efficiency. During a typical cruise, the forward two engines are shut down. This further reduces both fuel burn and engine noise. In addition, the aircraft is capable of being safely landed with any two of its four engines. Flight tests are being prepared.
Yakovlev Yak-52
Soviet two-seater sports training aircraft. In 2010, RED aircraft Company installed RED A03 engine. It was used as a flying laboratory for testing, confirming engine performance and fine-tuning. Climb rate is fixed at 18 m/s.
Yakovlev Yak-18T
Soviet/Russian light training and four-seat passenger aircraft with trunk. RED aircraft has installed RED A03 engine. Flight tests are in progress.
